Web Page Assignments

Each of the assignments is described below.  All assignments must be completed to obtain a passing grade.  These asssignments constitute 50% of the grade, with the first two worth 15% each, and the final presentation worth 20%.
Page One Specifications. Page must include the following:

A title in the title bar. 
Title and subtitle formatted as Headings.
Two tables, one visible and one hidden.
    One table must contain both text and graphics.
    You must use both row span and column span.
A list using list formatting.
Text formatting: two sizes of text, use of bold and italics, some colored text.
Use of a background color or image.
A horizontal rule at the bottom of the page followed by "Created by - Name and date."

Print page source and highlight HTML tags for each specification. Demo page to instructor during lab.

Page Two Specifications. Page must include the following:

A title both on the page and in the title bar.
Text links and graphic links (at least two each).
A text e-mail link and a graphic e-mail link.
A target in the page and a link to it.
Two buttons you have created yourself.
A list with links to other web pages.
One table, either hidden or visible.
Text formatting: a color scheme with three matched colors.
Use of fixed width font and variable width font, both with specified font faces.
The page HEAD must include the following META tags: title, author, keywords and description.
A horizontal rule at the bottom of the page followed by "Created by - Name and date."

Final Assignment Specifications.

Layout, design, and structure of your pages should be one of your focuses at this point.

The final assignment is a presentation of a minimum of four Web pages integrated as a Web site. The site must have a Home page. Each page must be linked from all other pages in any manner you prefer. Each student will present their four page Web site to the class on the final day.

Pages must include the following:

One frames page in any configuration of your choice.
Use of special characters.
Several animated graphics or a video file.
A sound file.
A Javascripted form and any other Javascript of your choice.

You must turn in a diskette with all your assignments at the end of the class. 
These will not be returned, so make a copy for yourself first.
